VANDE MATARAM
It is a very sad day for India and my prayers and condolences are with the families of those affected by this attack. What happened in Mumbai is absolutely outrageous and it is unimaginable to actually say that people who are to protect us -- the police, politicians and intelligence community -- had no idea this was going to happen. This attack must have been planned, for months. They used boats to come into the city. How can that happen without anyone knowing? Is this the type of security we are providing to for our people and our cities? It is unbelievable and a shame. Just goes on to show how failed the system is. We are one of the fastest growing country and economy in the world. It is about time the politicians really showed some patriotism and really took care of the very people who elected them.

[please write your comments. Salute them and pray for the souls of these brave soldiers.....]

Where there is will there is a way. Its time now that every Indian is strong willed to fight this menace. At whatever cost it is. What more could terrorist have done when you see the heritage building like Taj Mahal Hotel burning live on national television. Its a shame if we as a country dont do anything. Time has come to make a change and stand up for ourselves and our bharat mata. Those died are not numbers but our brothers OR sisters, they were killed because they were Indians. Its time the youth of the country take the responsibility.

I SALUTE ALL THE OFFICERS WHO HAVE GIVEN THEIR LIVES AND STILL FIGHTING OUT THERE AND GIVEN THEIR LIVES TO SECURE THE SITUATION. Our officers and security forces should get better weapons and ammunition than the terrorist. As everybody knows to understand terrorism one should think like them and find out the key loop holes in our security system and we should improve them. This is the time India should and I believe they will unit and come forward to help them in any way to get these things done. And as everybody said we should leave the politics behind so that we can control and make the security better through out the country. BASE LINE EVERYBODY SHOULD UNIT AND SHOW THE TERRORISM THAT WE WILL NOT GET TERRORIZED WITH THESE INCIDENCES BUT WE WILL FIGHT BACK.

India is now fast growing economy and close ally to top trade countries. It will face same issues that will prevail globally. So its better time to shape up the political structure for sensible and literate decisions. Along with these we have to :
    1.Get technologically advanced in security
2.Making police deptt. capable of handling complex things and giving them global standards.
    3.Install federal security agency.
    4.apply tough terrorism laws
5.Putting diplomatic and international pressures on the external countries responsible , to make them work for the better, even if they dont want to
6.repeated counselling and training for security personels to make them more active and fresh ,everyday they start their work (Sakhti se kaam tabhi hota hai, jab sar pe danda ho)

Combat terror by prevention. If it still happens, take extreme severe measures against perpetrators.
Some Prevention Ideas: 1. Find out root cause of terrorism. Formulate & Implement strategy to remove the cause. 2. Educate public to look for suspicious events & report to law enforcement. 3. Educate law enforcement to take reports seriously and check them out. 4. Remove corruption in all forms when it comes to terrorism. 5. Change laws to make it more conducive for law enforcement to arrest and check people out (even innocent ones, if any suspicion is aroused). 6. Train law enforcement to make it more competent to fight terror. 7. Learn from mistakes and prevent repetiton

I read on the TV scroller, someone said " Let the army run the cuontry, the politicians can go home"
Its either that, or we need a team that will actually do everything that needs to be done, not just talk about it.
And obviously, we''re eternally in debt of those who''ve lost their lives and saved lives these past few days.

I guess its high time our government realises the magnitude of terrorism and tackle it in a much better way, provide our city cops, army and commandos with better protection.
Instead of the blame game work together irrespective of which party they belong too and eventually combat terrorism. SOME politicians talk about how they are so true and faithful to Mumbai.... why havent they made any statement or shown any sign of concern since this tragedy!

Lets not just depend on the defence services and other authorities that maintain law and order and safeguard our borders/protect us and keep it terrorist free. ''Fidayeen''cannot be reasoned with as negotiation is impossible but we, the citizens, can keep our eyes and ears open to unusual activity as we go about our everyday work and report this to a ''centralised agency''. We have to get the help of all types of people from all walks of life. For example we are very vulnerable along the coast so we should get the help of the local fisherfolk by an awareness campaign. Of course everything finally depends on this ''centralised agency'' which has to be functional. This means we need political clout to make this happen. Otherwise this will end up as just another arm chair philosophy.

It should come with-in. Leaders should pave the way for this by clean politics. They should not divide the nation by religion, caste for the sake of vote. Youth should be given enough job opportunity. Otherwise they will be dragged in to these type of activities. The above things will ensure for our future generation live peacefully without terror. Considering the current situation, strict law, seamless implementation of the law coordination among politicians particularly when nation is in danger etc required. You and me should think and act how we can contribute towards for better india. So total mind set change is required to eliminate terrorism.

For India to be in a International terrorism hit list is too bad. It''s time to think about the "Non Alliance Movement" again and keep equal distance with all countries that is in war with others without any cause and causing miseries to the world. India should solve the kashmir issue by talks with pakistan & kashmiri''s and make a united kashmir having soft borders which will be the current border with Indo-pak. This will eliminate the international conspirors from utilizing the place for a breeding point for terrorism in both India and Pakistan.

Politics should be taken out from religion, and the punishment for riots, mass murders and spreading hatred should be an example for people who wants to do it again. The price for the damage on public properties and private properties by any Bandhs or processions should be levied from the parties who make the damage, including heavy ransom for each deaths caused by them.

India is a country where the entire system is corrupt and any one can easily infiltrate the system with a bag of money or power. We can now see even the military is infiltrated by the recent findings by ATS. The Corruption should be termed as "ANTI NATIONAL CRIME", and should be given the maximum punishment including Life imprisonment, and seizing of assets to the nation.

We can see a better India then away from terrorism.

The point is not what is happening now as these kind of attacks are not new to our country. The point is every time after these kind of attacks what are the actions taken by the governament to make sure that these things are not repeated. Have these measures been successful in acheving their targets. As long as we keep blaming each other every now and then we have to keep facing these kind of incidents. the entire system along with the people have to raise our voice against the world of terrorism.

Remedial Action to save India from a handful of Terrorists for which nation is spending enormous amounts of money and energy.

The solution is to pay them in their own coin as a tit for tat.

Catch a few terrorists and strip them naked and humiliate them all over the city and take him to the public square. Call their parents, kith and kin and others who are their near and dear. Ask bystanders to publicly humiliate and flog them. Give stones to their near and dear to flog them. Cut of their genitals as they are not men. Cut their legs, and slit their throat as they have done to our Punjabi men, brethren and friends. Shoot all of them one by one, so that others feel, then throw their bodies into burning oil pans or burning coal.

Pull out all the terrorists awaiting judgment and trials in prisons of Udaipur, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and all over India. Pull out the entire terrorist similarly from Jammu and Kashmir, who killed all our BSF and Army personnel.

Call the world media – CNN, BBC, NDTV, etc to publicly show this on every satellite channel.

Unless, we take strong measures, we will have carnages like Mumbai happening too often. So let us do this and be strong and prove to world that Eye for an Eye holds!!

I think the foremost step would be to shift the police from a state department to central govt. dept.
As I see it the whole security issue bottoms down to the criminal polititian nexus, both in India and Pakistan. Added to this, the state vs center clashes which make the handling of security forces grimmer. Once the police comes under central govt dept, I hope the common policeman will have more facilities, more trainings and thereby more accountability. This is one way where I see some hope...

  34. Anonymous30/11/08

I agree. its not possible to have a policemen behind all of us. Its easy to sit and blame police and govt. We can do it all our lives or we can stop and take responsibility.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous30/11/08

We cannot just sit with fear inside our houses anymore and let them kill all our families. In a place where atleast 1000 houses are there,if atleast 1 person comes out to save his/her family, there will be 1000 people against 10 or 20 terrorists.Even if they manage to kill 100 or 200 of us,none of them should go alive from the place after killing innocent people. In a country of millions of people,it is impossible for some policemen to protect all the people,we should protect ourselves

Every now and then we are hearing of terrorist attacks in one or the other city. What is the government doing?Law and order of each state should be improved. If any terrorist attack happens in any state within India which claims any person''s life, then the Chief Minister of the state should resign. If this would be taken as a law, then the CM would ensure that in his state law and order is maintained properly and would provide tight security.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Anonymous30/11/08

There should be a hotline number to the anti terrorism squad, so that if any one sees something unusual, like men with riffles or bombs ,one can immediately call and inform. This is something that should be taken seriously. As calling the police who are not properly armed for these situations is going to be very little help.It is great that the army was called in.

Most effective way to counter terrorism is nothing but make India a totally corruption free country. Stringent actions should be taken against corrupt officials. No corruption means no illegal activities. That''s it. A solution to all the problems. Everthing will be in place and be done in an orderly manner. Besides, specialised and latest technology training should be provided to all the security forces. They should also be provided with modern equipments required for self protection. I think the govt. has enough money for all these, but these important areas are given least priority.
